Strobist Water Drop with an Apple

[exif show="aperture,iso,shutter,camera,focus,time"]

After some inspiration from David Hobby’s blog, I decided to do some water drop photos. The above water drop with the apple reflected inside the splash is one of the more popular photos I took of water drops. It is a fun indoor project that is perfect for a busy photographer because it can be accomplished at night and regardless of the weather.

For more inspiration, see two of my favorite water drop photographers on Flickr are SteveP and Drippy2009.

  1. This is so cool… I would love to learn from you about strobes and flash photography.

  2. Thanks Amanda! This technique is not very hard — it just requires more patience than anything. I am sure that there will be another Tulsa Digital Photography Meetup where we will have the chance to work on strobe stuff together.

By the way, I am curious how you came across this site because I built it more as a placeholder for a 365 photo project, but have not really done anything with it yet.
